Although the Town of Paradise Valley can’t do much to enforce water conservation as a non-water provider community, officials are still focused on regional tactics for preservation during a recent meeting.
Unlike other water provider communities like Scottsdale and Phoenix, Paradise Valley receives its water from four companies and does not have any direct influence on implementing water conservation policies. However, according to the city staff report, this does not prevent the town from working to conserve water through expanding education on the topic.
At a Jan. 27 Town Council study session, Paradise Valley resident Kathleen Ferris spoke to the mayor and council about the different ways the town has managed its water usage as well as a brief overview of the water supply in the region.
