A 20-acre parcel that is part of an envisioned office-anchored mixed-use project in Glendale will be marketed for sale for potential development.

The 20-acre section is located on the eastern portion of a larger 64-acre site the city is looking to develop with office, retail, hospitality, multifamily or other uses. The property sits on the southwest corner of 91st Avenue and Cardinals Way next to State Farm Stadium and the planned Crystal Lagoons project.

Glendale City Council unanimously approved an agreement on Tuesday that allows Peoria-based Plaza Cos. to serve as a broker for the city and negotiate the sale of the 20-acre parcel, which is owned by Glendale. The Bidwill family owns a 10-acre parcel on the larger site, while the city owns the rest.
