Kaites pens second book with focus on parenting, brain development in kids

Prominent Arizona attorney and entrepreneur John Kaites has published a new book offering a Christian parenting guide for young children and toddlers.

Kaites, who attended seminary and is also a pastor, said the book integrates Christian principles with brain development and how those can impact children into adulthood.

“In the Beginning: A Christian Parent’s Guide to Building Confidence in the Early Years” is published by Greenleaf Book Group’s River Grove Books and is available via Amazon.

Kaites said the maturation of his own family — including his two sons — motivated him to write a book on Christian parenting.

“My oldest is getting married and children are around the corner,” said Kaites.

The book focuses on Christian families with kids through age seven. Kaites focuses on Christian principles along with how repetitive brain patterns among babies influence thinking, problem solving and situational approaches later in life.

The book debuted earlier this month and is a top seller in Amazon’s parent and child development, parenting toddlers and Christian parenting categories.

Kaites said understanding brain development in young children is essential “so that a child can live without fear or insecurity or ‘I’m not good enough’.”

This is Kaites’ second book.

He penned his first book — “Fear Not: Two Weeks of Living Boldly into God’s Authentic Confidence” — in 2017.

Kaites said it takes him approximately three years to develop and write his books.

“These concepts come to me and I feel like they need to be done,” he told the Rose Law Group Reporter.

Kaites has had a number of chapters to his career.

He has been a prominent attorney in the Phoenix area including lobbying and serving as a Maricopa County prosecutor and state lawmaker.

Kaites was also a former television broadcaster and ran for Arizona attorney general in 1998.

He’s also formed a number of companies and brings his Christian faith and principles to those efforts also.

“I feel like the words of Christ give us a roadmap for how to live our lives,” Kaites said.
