“These cars are all made in the United States at our plant in Casa Grande, Arizona,” a Lucid salesperson tells visitors who wander in to check out the sleek new Lucid Air in one of the company’s sales studios in the Westfield UTC mall in La Jolla.
Shiny and stylish with a wow-factor headlight design, the car is an attention-grabber, and a steady stream of shoppers shuffle into the sales studio.
Lucid cars, the sales people say, are different from other electric vehicles in their class.
