Supervisor Thomas Galvin Sworn-In After Election Victory: Discusses Election Reforms, Keeping Taxes Low, and Other Important Issues
Earlier this month, I took the oath of office administered by Arizona Supreme Court Justice Kathryn H. King.
It is humbling and gratifying to be elected by the voters of Maricopa County in District 2. I am honored to represent the District on the County Board of Supervisors.
In my address, I stated that we need to review the problematic issues with some of the ballot printers on Election Day. In addition, I believe we must do a top-bottom review of all election procedures. Even if things run great, any organization must strive to see where improvements, changes, and corrections need to be made. Stay tuned!
I also discussed the issues that are important to Maricopa County; economic development, water, transportation, housing, and public safety. I will continue to make sure that Maricopa County is a prudent steward of taxpayer dollars and continues to provide the resources to fight dangerous drugs and violent crime. Remarks at Swearing-in

A New Leaf Mesa Workforce Development Grand Opening
I had the honor to attend the grand opening of the new Workforce Center in Mesa. This incredible facility is a testament to Maricopa County and the City of Mesa coordinating with a great organization, A New Leaf to enrich lives. East Valley residents now have a “one-stop shop” to look for jobs and enhance their career skills. The facility is at 635 E Broadway Road.
The dedicated Workforce Center staff will do whatever it takes to help people get where they need to be. Local employers are also excited by this fantastic opportunity to develop our workforce!
I want to congratulate all of the great Maricopa County employees who are dedicated to ensuring the new Workforce Center is a success for years to come.

Mesa Republican Women’s Christmas Event
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell and I enjoyed reading, “Twas the Night Before Christmas” together with the Mesa Republican Women’s Club. A good time was had by all with not a grinch in sight!
Valleywise Health Center Tour
I had a great experience touring a Valleywise Health clinic. I learned of the work they do in providing not only health care but also health care training through the Creighton University – Arizona Health Education Alliance. Modern, state-of-the-art health clinics are providing excellent health care throughout Maricopa County! Congratulations to Valleywise Health!
