Queen Creek looks to state for reimbursements to support LG plant

The town of Queen Creek recently approved an agreement with the Arizona Department of Revenue to secure funding for infrastructure it promised to build for the new LG Energy Solution battery plant.

Through the agreement, the town said it expects to be reimbursed $30 million for public infrastructure improvements, which will account for about 38% of the town’s project costs totaling $80 million for new roads and water and wastewater infrastructure around the battery manufacturing facility, according to a recent town report.
