The highest Phoenix home on the south side of Camelback Mountain and a Paradise Valley house formerly owned by utility founder George Johnson were among the priciest metro Phoenix houses to sell during the third week of February.
An Alberta, Canada, group called 2492241 Alberta Ltd paid cash for a new 9,300-square-foot Paradise Valley mansion. The house with six bedrooms and eight bathrooms sits on 2.6 acres and has custom French Oak doors, cabinets and flooring. The home also comes with Lorca marble and Belgian bluestone tile and has a library, a gym, a game room, a guest house and a lighted putting green. 5450 Arcadia Lane LLC was the seller. George Johnson owned the property for a couple of decades until 2020. He ran an embattled water and sewer company serving the East Valley that was sold in 2021.
