AZ City residents debate incorporation

ARIZONA CITY — As the public appearances portion of the Monday Eloy City Council meeting began, Arizona City resident Kim Allen had a goal in mind — to share his thoughts on why Arizona City is ready for incorporation.

“If it is in Eloy’s best interest to not participate in the resolution of Arizona City to incorporate, then you have already participated by not holding a vote on the resolution,” Allen said at the meeting.

The debate on whether Arizona City should incorporate has been a topic of much discussion among residents for many years. While some feel as though it is the right step for the community as it continues to grow, others feel it is simply not feasible for the area.
