Marijuana grow facility cuts ribbon in Eloy

By David Church | Pinal Central

ELOY — As Eloy Mayor Micah Powell toured the new Vext Science building, he reflected that the opening of the facility was “a long time coming for the city of Eloy.”

After several years of preparation, Vext Science, a U.S.-based cannabis THC and hemp cannabinoid products company, celebrated the opening with a ribbon cutting on Monday.

The 72,000-square-foot facility, located at 924 N. Tweedy Road, will serve as a medical marijuana cultivation facility, where cannabis plants will be grown and eventually shipped to Vext Science stores in the Phoenix area.

During the ribbon cutting, Vext Science CEO Eric Offenberger provided guests and city staff with a tour of the building, displaying how the production process will run inside the building.
