Starbucks opens first Arizona double drive-thru

Drive-thrus continue to be extremely important for the quick-serve restaurant industry and when Starbucks was relocating a location in Avondale into a larger building, the global coffee company needed to get creative to make sure there was more than enough room for all of its car-centric customers.

Starbucks was operating in a smaller footprint and moved into a larger former KFC restaurant that had been vacant for more than four years. The new 3,070-square-foot location is at 10655 W. Indian School Road in Avondale, just east of 107th Avenue and west of the Loop 101 freeway.
