Another successful tournament in the books to conclude the 2023 competitive wiffle ball season! Yesterday, BLW tied for 3rd place at our very own Western Wiffle Ball Championship tournament, going 4-1 on the day. Highlights & team notes below…
@carsonrose8 was phenomenal both on the mound at and the plate. He pitched 7 innings of bracket play only giving up 3 runs, including a shutout against the Cajuns. On top of that, he got hot at the plate with three home runs and tons of hits on the day🙌
@lukerose_06 matched and potentially even topped his dominant performance from two weeks ago at U-Wiffs. He threw four shutout innings against the Cajuns (in pool play) and hit two clutch home runs with a handful of extra-base hits as well.
@loganrose_8 pitched six scoreless innings in the early games. The bat game alive when it mattered, as he delivered with a solo home-run in bracket play to help the squad advance to the semi-finals.
@joey_jankowski16 put tons of great swings on the ball and served as the teams safety in the outfield.
Unfortunately, Jaxson Blum was unable to make the tournament due to a flight cancellation.
What a day and what a season.
