Workers are putting the finishing touches on Pecan Lake Entertainment Center, a locally owned $16 million entertainment venue that will feature a massive climbing wall, a ropes course, go-karts, a Flow-Rider wave pool, a huge golf putt-putt golf course and several restaurants.
The venue is “a few weeks” away from being open for business, said owner and developer Tim Campbell, a Queen Creek resident, in front of a group that gathered there Jan. 17 for a sneak peek at the facility.
While the venue is expected to draw visitors from around the state, it will also serve as a venue for at least one Queen Creek-based homeschooling group, and on Wednesday, upward of 200 parents and students did a walk-through of the entertainment venue with plans to visit Pecan Lake on a semi-regular basis.
