Where Maricopa developments stand in 2024

MARICOPA — As we enter the new year, one of the City of Maricopa’s resolutions this year is clear: expansion. City Manager Rick Horst recently shared some development updates for the businesses coming to Maricopa in the new year.

Horst said that while the city hears the wants of the community, it’s up to the businesses to pick Maricopa as a place to build.

“Business owners make decisions based on a myriad of variables,” Horst said at a recent Council meeting. “What might draw one store is a completely different set of demographics from what might draw another store.”
