January a mixed bag for Ahwatukee home market

For the first time in months, year-over-year Greater Phoenix housing data for January 2024 showed more positive trends than negative movement, according to Phoenix REALTORS.

“Coming into January, we believed that 2024 was going to be better than 2023,” said Sheryl Bowden, president of Phoenix REALTORS Board of Directors. “The January numbers highlight a promising start to the year.”

Data shared by the organization for two of Ahwatukee’s three ZIP codes – 85045 was not available, it said, – showed sellers in January got more for their homes than those who sold a year earlier and that on average got over 97% of their asking price.
