The city of Goodyear has received the 2024 Global Leadership Award in Health & Productivity Management from the Institute for Health & Productivity Management, a global nonprofit organization headquartered in Scottsdale. The city received the award at the March 25 council meeting for its approach to the wellbeing and safety of its employees for more than a decade.

“It’s an honor to receive this recognition for our approach to the health and safety of all of our employees and their families,” said Goodyear City Manager Wynette Reed. “Our employees are our number one asset, and we believe wholeheartedly that if we take care of them, they’ll take care of our community.”

The city of Goodyear employs more than 900 fulltime workers and fosters a culture that focuses on what it calls “The Whole Employee,” a comprehensive approach that focuses on the financial, career, social, physical and community-related wellbeing of its employees.
