Peoria concedes GP amendments to help bring airpark

City staff has conceded some General Plan proposals to residents that would help bring an airpark to Peoria. 

City workers have been gethering public input about new proposed amendments to the general plan that they say will help better position the city as a future hub of advanced industries, with a focal point being a proposed airpark in the northern part of the city.

But some residents have opposed this, particularly those in the northern part of the city where these developments would occur, saying the changes would make it too easy to develop an airpark near where they live. And the city has listened.
