Big League Wiffle Ball (BLW) returns this October and is hosting a Home Run Derby to start the 2024 Wiffle Ball Championship series.
The fifth annual Wiffle Ball Championship now consists of five unique events featuring four tournaments held across the Phoenix Valley. The series will conclude with a Final Four championship tournament at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.
Teams of three to five people are divided into three groups of players, Franchise, Competitive and Recreational. Ten Franchise teams will compete to earn points over the four Valley tournaments for the chance to be in the Final Four tournament. Players may apply to join these teams.
The Competitive division is made for advanced and experienced players who will get the opportunity to challenge and play alongside the Franchise teams. The Recreational division is for anyone looking for a laid-back experience, while still enjoying the sport.
Due to no base running, players of all ages and athleticism are easily able to participate.
BLW was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic by Logan Rose, a rising senior at Phoenix Country Day School. Rose and his friends started the league as a way to promote being outside and staying active.
