Scottsdale last week announced the retirement of Brian Biesemeyer, executive director of the award-winning Scottsdale Water Department.
Biesemeyer served in the position for 12 years.
He has been in front of Scottsdale City Council multiple times over the last year.
Councilwoman Solange Whitehead and other elected officials have praised Biesemeyer’s work.
“Brian Biesemeyer is an internationally recognized expert. He is an innovator,” Whitehead said recently. “He has delivered on every water challenge and he will continue to do so.”
