Developer seeks rezone along Appleby Rd near Chandler

A developer is asking Maricopa County to rezone 16.6 acres of land near Chandler Municipal Airport for a light industrial project.

The parcel, located on a county island on Appleby Road about a quarter of a mile east of Arizona Avenue, does not have a specific development plan at this time. 

However, the developers say they are requesting the minor code deviations to promote flexibility to allow the underutilized, infill site to be developed in a way that maximizes the utility of the site without negatively impacting the area.
