Residential component planned at Scottsdale mixed-use campus

Developers continue to “flip the desert” at a fast pace.

On the south side of the Loop 101 between Scottsdale and Hayden roads, “development row” is moving ahead. Here, apartment/condo builder Optima, high-tech global firm ASM, Banner Health and Taser-maker Axon have reached development agreements with the city for former state land.

Across the freeway, HonorHealth remains mum on plans for 45 acres it bought in late 2022 for $48 million – but the Cavasson Development adjacent to it is charging ahead.

At a state land auction, Nationwide bought 134 acres for $83 million in 2018.

“At full completion,” cavasson.com promises, “the project’s mix of uses will include 1.8 million square feet of market leading commercial office space, 1,600 residences, hotels, retail, restaurants, and amenities.”
