Surprise economic development racks up awards

The Surprise Economic Development Department has received multiple prestigious awards this year for achievements in promoting business growth, community investment and economic innovation.

The Arizona Association of Economic Development recognized Surprise with two illustrious Golden Prospector Awards in the Special Event and Multimedia Promotion categories at its 2024 Fall Forum, which took place from Oct. 23 to 25.

The Special Event Golden Prospector Award recognizes a meeting, seminar, marketing tour, event or trip designed to develop projects and promote economic development. Surprise received the award for hosting the Future Business Leaders of America Region 4 competition in January.
