Three Republican candidates were leading in the race for three seats on the Arizona Corporation Commission.
Rachel Walden, Rene Lopez and Lea Marquez Peters were the top three vote-getters with about 92% of precincts reporting. Walden led with 17.9%, followed by Lopez at 17.3% and Marquez Peterson at 16.8%.
Democrats Ylenia Aguilar, Jonathon Hill and Joshua Polacheck trailed.
The five-member ACC is responsible for various business registrations as well as overseeing public utilities such as Arizona Public Service Co., EPCOR and Tucson Electric Power. The commission sets rates for those utilities.
