CASA GRANDE — There’s a lot that Craig McFarland feels he learned during his time as mayor, from how water is allocated to the state to infrastructure, government policy and much more.
The position also required him to be incredibly active, both in the local community and around Arizona, serving as the face and a voice for Casa Grande.
“I’m the cheerleader for the city of Casa Grande,” he said in a November interview with Pinal’s People. “That’s what I do.”
Eight years later, McFarland is moving on and will soon be taking on the role of president and CEO of Pinal Partnership. McFarland will replace Tony Smith, who announced plans to retire at the end of this year.
