Pinal Veterans Memorial inching closer to dedication

Commuters heading down Pinal Avenue in recent months may have noticed steady building activity occurring at Ed Hooper Rodeo Park, and not just at the fire station being built on the corner.

Several concrete columns and scaffolding at the site symbolize the coming together of a 15-year vision that will see the Pinal County Veterans Memorial dedicated in May during the Memorial Day weekend.

Pinal County Veterans Memorial Foundation President Robert Miller told PinalCentral that he and his fellow committee members are delighted at the progress of the construction of the memorial and are looking forward to dedicating it in May. Miller said he’s had a steady stream of people asking him about the construction activity at the Pinal Avenue site.
