Another self-storage developer is scouting the Maricopa market

It’s early days, but a California developer is scoping out Maricopa’s self-storage scene for a possible future development.

Randy Benson of Black Canyon Self Storage, part of Arena Development Group, recently reached out to city officials, asking for information about future storage projects in the area.

Benson’s firm is no stranger to Arizona: Black Canyon says it is currently building a 100,000-square-foot facility near Interstate 17 and Camelback Road in Phoenix, right across from Grand Canyon University. The storage developer clocked Maricopa’s booming residential growth and is curious about where more storage might fit in.
