Another new development has been proposed for Estrella Gin Business Park.
Suffolk, Va.-based civil engineering firm V Ballard Consulting submitted pre-application paperwork for a “flex space” development at the northeast corner of Estrella Parkway and Edison Road, according to public records obtained by InMaricopa this week.
The development, Maricopa Flex Center, would feature seven buildings encompassing 84,000 square feet of light industrial and retail space. The plaza would front Estrella Parkway and back to Roosevelt Avenue, the main road in the Acacia Crossings neighborhood.
While the tenants have not been selected, a project narrative anticipated a wide range of possible small- and medium-sized businesses, including:
- Light manufacturing firms
- Warehousing/distribution operations
- Construction trades and subcontractors
- Online product-based businesses (e-commerce)
- Professional service providers requiring storage or showroom space
- Boutique retail shops
