The developers behind a new luxury hotel being built in downtown Phoenix have started marketing the property by first unveiling its new name and branding.
The $140 million downtown Phoenix hotel — that had been called the Edith — will now be known as Denū. Pronounced “DEH-noo”, the word has roots in Old English and translates to “valley” as a nod to the region’s nickname, Valley of the Sun.
Irvine, California-based Pacific Hospitality Group is developing the 17-story hotel on a tiny infill lot at the southeast corner of Central Avenue and Adams Street in downtown Phoenix – just north of One North Central building.
