Gilbert council postpones Bella Storia zoning amendment amid concerns over density, process

The Gilbert Town Council voted unanimously Tuesday to postpone a decision on a zoning amendment for the Bella Storia development until June 10, following a contentious discussion about a proposed increase in apartment units. 

 Council members strongly recoiled against seeing a larger and revised project with changes to the original design approved in October 2023 and let representatives for developer Vista Residential Partners know about it in no uncertain terms.
