Scottsdale Plaza Resort will soon be Miralina Resort and Villas, Paradise Valley.
The resort is putting in a request to the town of Paradise Valley to amend its special-use permit for the Scottsdale Plaza Resort, kicking off a major comprehensive $42.2 million renovation.
The upgrades are planned to be completed in time for a grand reopening January 2026.
Attorney and Rose Law Group founder Jordan Rose, who represents the developer, said the renovation will transform the property to reflect the spirit of the Valley and set the stage for an immersive retreat that celebrates the beauty of the Sonoran Desert.
Rose said upon relaunch, the property will position itself as a boutique lifestyle resort.
“Miralina will honor its place in the Valley through a layered symphony of desert vistas, seasonal shifts, and the subtle rhythms of nature,” she said. “Every aspect of the guest experience is designed to cultivate mindfulness, invite fresh perspectives and foster personal growth and clarity.”
The proposal calls for, among other things, a redesigned resort, pool, fresh exterior painting for all existing buildings, enhanced landscaping, and signs.
This will be the first comprehensive renovation of the resort in decades, Rose said, encompassing a complete upgrade of every guest room, the introduction of new amenity spaces and pools, reimagined food and beverage venues featuring locally sourced ingredients, and the addition of a 7,200-square-foot, climate-controlled multipurpose pavilion to host local gatherings and events.
“From sculpted landscapes and artful architecture to curated soundscapes and thoughtfully chosen materials, the resort will create a seamless connection between indoors and out,” she said.
