As Lowe’s Home Improvement prepares to host its grand opening this summer, new filings with the City of Maricopa reveal the next wave of development at South Bridge Marketplace is beginning to take shape.
According to a pre-application narrative and site plan submitted May 14 by developer Thompson Thrift, three new buildings are proposed for construction at the northeast corner of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue. This is the same retail hub already home to a Trulieve dispensary and a soon-to-be-built Aldi grocery store.
City spokesperson Monica Williams confirmed these additions are part of the final development phase. The trio of buildings would include a mix of restaurant and retail tenants. Panera Bread, which would sit in a building across the parking lot from Trulieve, is currently the only confirmed business in this phase. The developer still lists the remaining suites and storefronts as available for lease.
