Maricopa was named one of the “best up-and-coming small cities” in an analysis by HGTV of U.S. Census Bureau and nonpartisan economic reports.
HGTV, the basic cable channel of House Hunters repute, recently published its list of the top 30 up-and-coming cities in America, with Maricopa landing in the middle of the pack.
Coming in at No. 16 on the list, Maricopa was named for its affordable housing and proximity to outdoor recreation.
“Maricopa doesn’t have the hustle and bustle of Phoenix, but it does offer safe vibes, sun-splashed scenery and plenty to do in this small town … Many come and stay for the small-town feel and affordable housing market,” the report claims.
