Phoenix furniture store to be replaced by apartments

A 310-unit apartment building reaching as high as five stories is planned to replace the Pruitt’s Fine Furnishings store at 34th Street and Thomas Road in Phoenix.

The development will include some ground-floor commercial and retail space.

Aspirant Development received preliminary site plan approval for the project through the city of Phoenix on Dec. 19.

Pruitt’s closed the location in 2024 after more than 70 years in business. The company moved its operations to Prescott Valley.
