CASA GRANDE — Jobs in construction and hospitality are expected to increase most over the next decade, experts say, supported by the county’s fast population growth.
Things continue to look good for Pinal County’s economic development.
From 2024 to 2025, Pinal grew in population by 3.7%, the fastest in Arizona, according to data from the Arizona Commerce Authority. The Arizona Office of Economic Opportunity expects, according to new projections, the construction industry to grow by about 25% from 2024 to 2034. Jobs in hospitality are expected to grow by about 23% over the next decade. Both are higher than the statewide projection.
The numbers might not be surprising — a growing population will need homes, roads, water infrastructure and power grid upgrades, to name a few examples, to accommodate the growth. Naturally, jobs in restaurants and hotels will spring up alongside these.
