Buckeye City Council unanimously approved adopting the Airport Master Plan and authorized staff to take the actions necessary to submit it to the Federal Aviation Administration for review and approval.
According to city documents, the Airport Master Plan, or AMP, serves as a detailed 20-year blueprint for the airport’s growth and development. It is designed to align with the airport’s goals and objectives while ensuring compliance with all applicable Federal Aviation Administration regulations.
During a council workshop, the Development Services Department and the consulting firm Logan Simpson presented the Airport Specific Area Plan — known as the ASAP — and sought feedback on the scope, vision and priorities for the project, which is expected to take about a year to complete.
