Arizona’s Republican hopefuls descended on Dream City Church in Phoenix today for President Donald Trump’s “Build the Red Wall” rally, some with their own dream of securing an endorsement from the commander in chief.
Congressman Andy Biggs, who has already secured his presidential endorsement, dazzled the crowd with his own impression of Trump while describing the phone call he received from the president. He also poked fun at his Republican primary opponent, fellow Congressman David Schweikert, joking that the president wouldn’t answer the phone if Schweikert called.
The Yellow Sheet Report also spotted Senate President Warren Petersen, who is hoping to best Rodney Glassman in the Republican primary for attorney general, sitting front row while Glassman was seen rubbing elbows in the VIP section. Both are vying for the president’s blessing.
