Despite the coronavirus pandemic that has weighed down hospital systems across the U.S. for more than a year now, Banner Health is showing no signs of slowing its growth.
Banner Ocotillo Medical Center in Chandler became the first new Banner hospital built in more than a decade when it opened in November. The health care system recently broke ground on a $243 million expansion project that is expected to create more than 600 new jobs and double the size of the campus at Banner Gateway in Gilbert.
Banner Boswell in Sun City opened a new emergency department in October, with the first floor of a new patient tower following suit in January.
