Will our rush to flee the pandemic land us back in the middle of it?

Suddenly it seems like the last year didn’t happen.

Signs requiring masks came down. Bars along Mill Avenue teemed with people. Parks filled with soccer teams.

On social media, people are posting about weddings, trips and dancing in nightclubs.

Gov. Doug Ducey got his first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on March 2, hours before Arizonans 55 and older even could register for appointments and two days before anyone else in his age group.

The next day, Ducey ordered schools to offer in-person learning, regardless of their own plans.

Three weeks later, on March 24, Ducey got his second dose. The next day, he ended local mask mandates and lifted restrictions on businesses and events.

Ducey got his. But what about everything else?
