Suns playoff run to NBA Finals helps downtown Phoenix recover

Downtown Phoenix officials and business owners are crediting the Phoenix Suns’ run in the National Basketball Association playoffs for helping the area recover quicker from the Covid-19 pandemic.

Because of their past high reliance on office workers and sporting event attendees, consumer-facing businesses downtown suffered during the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 as people worked from home and fans were not allowed at games.
