Queen Creek voters approve purchase of water company in special election

The Maricopa County Supervisor of Elections recently announced that Queen Creek residents have approved town plans to purchase of the H2O, Inc. Water Utility.

Voters cast their vote in an all-mail special election that took place April 25-May 21, according to a press release. The final vote was recorded as 2,550 in favor and 379 opposed.

H20, Inc. Water Company is a family-owned business that has served the Pinal County/Maricopa County area for more than 40 years,

The town initiated discussions with the H2O, Inc. a few months ago to review options for acquiring the right to serve residents living the 3.5-square-mile portion of the community still served by H2O.
