Scottsdale considers development plans to convert office space into apartments

The Scottsdale City Council will consider a rezoning request for a 310-unit apartment development near Shea Boulevard and 92nd Street.

Plans call for an existing office building and adjacent vacant areas to be redeveloped into apartments.

The multifamily project is called Ironwood 92 and is slated for an 8.52-are property that is partly vacant but also home to retail and office space.

The council is being asked to adopt a Non-Major General Plan Amendment and rezone the property from “Highway Commercial Planned Community District (C-3 PCD) and Commercial Office Planned Community District (C-O PCD) to Planned Unit Development Planned Community District (PUD PCD) with a development plan,” according to council documents.

The project is being developed by Ironwood 92 Partners, LLC (Platinum Advisors, Jim Riggs, Caliber, Chris Loeffler).

The site is also home to an existing medical building that will remain, according to plans filed with the city.

The properties proposed for the development are located at 10299 N 92nd Street, 10301 N. 92″^ Street and 9301 E. Shea Boulevard.

The rezoning is on the council’s Oct. 5 agenda.
