Coolidge eyes infrastructure funding for passenger rail service

COOLIDGE – All aboard is what Coolidge residents could be hearing in the future, as President Joe Biden’s infrastructure bill has set aside billions of dollars to make train service from Phoenix to Tucson with a stop in Coolidge possible.

City of Coolidge officials are well aware of Amtrak’s plans to have passenger rail service between Phoenix and Tucson that would make a stop in Coolidge.

Coolidge City Manager Rick Miller said the federal funding in the infrastructure bill might help make this happen.
