Another nearly 100 acres of land is part of the Surprise city limits after the City Council approved an annexation near Pinnacle Peak Road and 163rd Avenue on March 1.
EPS Group, representing the property owner, was granted the annexation for 10 parcels, consisting of approximately 93.97 acres of unincorporated land.
The council also approved a rezoning of the land from rural residential to residential low density (69.44 acres) and residential high density (the remaining 24.53 acres).
The development project means the completion of the northbound lanes on 163rd Avenue near Pat Tillman Boulevard and Pinnacle Peak.
