Maricopa panel OKs Santa Cruz Ranch change again for legal purposes

MARICOPA — Planning and zoning commissioners approved a land use change for the Santa Cruz Ranch property again since it accidentally left out certain parts during last year’s action.

The request was made by city staff on behalf of Iplan Consulting to amend the general plan land use map for about 111 acres from Low Density Residential to Master Planned Community. It’s located at the northwest corner of West Ruben Drive and North Ensenada Road about half a mile west of North Anderson Road.

The request was not a rezoning or annexation, though it currently is outside of Maricopa city limits.
