The metaverse event: At the Scottsdale offices of Rose Law Group on Thursday, the firm kicked off the first ever fund-raising event in the metaverse to benefit a 501(c)(3) charity.
The goal of the charity gala in the metaverse was to help Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona solve the very real problem of the lack of affordable housing through “The Habitat Collection,” an NFT collection.
Jason Barlow, President, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Central Arizona says the “event could forever change the way funds are raised for charity holding,” as such doing it in the metaverse helps cut down on expenses in terms of hosting costs for the organization and travel costs for its donors. ”Instead, more money goes directly towards our mission of developing neighborhoods of affordable homes,” says Barlow.
Kudos from Rose Law Group: “Congrats to our whole metaverse team. The first law firm to hire blockchain developers, coders and architects to be able to take a metaverse project from conception to full implementation.”
