With such a busy agenda for its July 26 meeting, it wasn’t surprising the Buckeye Planning and Zoning Commission ended up tabling one item.
The item — preliminary plat approval for a housing development called San Madera — is back on the agenda for the board’s Tuesday, Aug. 9 meeting as one of only three scheduled hearing items.
The meeting is set for 6 p.m. at Buckeye City Hall, 530 E. Monroe Ave.
San Madera is a proposed 546-unit, single-family-home development located near the northwest corner of Broadway and Watson roads, near Youngker High School and a canal.
The 150-acre plat would have a density of about 3.74 homes per acre. It’s already zoned as residential.
Meritage Homes, the developer plans a variety of lot sizes. A park area and an amenity building are planned.
