Peralta Regional Park near Gold Canyon, Pinal County’s first owned and managed regional park, won the Arizona Parks and Recreation Association’s “Best of the Best 2023” Natural Resources award at the group’s annual conference.
The award recognizes an agency’s significant, innovative and successful contributions toward quality of services in parks and natural resource acquisitions, development, maintenance and operations. This includes physical resources, equipment or personnel with special attention to environmental awareness, Kent Taylor, Pinal County director of Open Space and Trails, told the Board of Supervisors on Sept. 6.
