Eloy council allows use of general fund for economic development

ELOY — The Eloy City Council on Monday approved a resolution that will allow the city to use $5 million of the general fund balance for economic development.

Some of the economic development projects include water and wastewater infrastructure, land development and building enhancements within the city.

Eloy Finance Director Brian Wright said the city’s general fund balance was a little more than $25 million before roughly $6 million was used for water and wastewater improvements.
