First part of ‘Florence 287’ wins preliminary approval

FLORENCE — The first 450 acres of the Florence 287 master-planned community west of downtown Florence received preliminary plat approval from the Town Council Monday.

The council also tabled action on another drive-thru business across from Florence High School for further traffic study.

Councilmember Cathy Adam said of Florence 287, “I think this project is probably one of the most well-vetted projects through planning and zoning…. I particularly want to call out your attention to detail on the wall facing (State Route) 287.
