Habitat for Humanity of Northern Arizona hosted a groundbreaking ceremony on Friday, June 7, for a new set of starter homes in the Timber Sky development from Vintage Partners.

Habitat Board members, project partners, nearby residents, and elected officials from Flagstaff, Coconino County and Arizona were present at the site the morning of the event, which also included remarks from Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs.

Habitat’s Timber Sky development will include 40 new starter homes on 3 acres of land, similar to the two built on O’Leary Street as a pilot for the model.

Those were completed in 2022 and 2023, with the new homeowners selected from hundreds of local applicants.
