PV candidates talk issues before mayoral run-off

Run-off mayor candidates  shared their views on important issues in the Town of Paradise Valley. 

Councilmember Anna Thomasson and Vice Mayor Mark Stanton will face off in a run-off mayoral election after the Maricopa County Elections Department posted final results Aug. 5, 2024. There was not a majority winner. Thomasson led the primary election with 1,747 votes (46.31%), Stanton garnered 1,453 (38.52%) and Mary Hamway obtained 572 votes (15.16%).

This Q&A story was previously published in June 2024, with the answers from former mayoral candidate Mary Hamway, who received the least amount of votes, and did not move forward to the run-off election.  Last publishing, Stanton went first, this time, we put Thomasson’s answers first.
